Michele Tingley earned a Bachelors Degree (BS) in Psychology from the University of Florida in 1992, and later obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of South Florida in 1998. Michele has over 22 years of experience working in the social services and behavioral healthcare fields providing case management, facilitation and training, clinical assessment, instruction as an adjunct professor, curriculum and program development, program management, mentoring, therapy, and clinical supervision.
Michele has experience and expertise working with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, couples, families, and groups in a variety of treatment settings. Michele has provided clinical services with the following populations and treatment settings: developmental disabled clients, crisis intervention, juvenile justice, foster care, adoptions, community mental health, home healthcare, nursing home care, and group private practice.
Michele was previously certified as a Certified Behavior Analyst (CBA) in 1993. In 2003, Michele completed the requirements to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida, and later was certified as a Qualified Supervisor for Clinical Social Work Interns. In 2016, Michele completed training and consultation in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Michele utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based approach in therapy with clients, identifying their treatment needs and utilizing appropriate evidenced-based treatment to achieve treatment outcomes. Michele's passion is helping individuals overcome challenges and obstacles to grow and achieve their highest potential.
